Cardinals, Rangers game called because of rain.

Braves 17, Phillies 4

A close game through five innings was blown open in the sixth, with the Braves scoring nine runs. For the Braves, Erik Olson had two hits, one of which was an inside-the-park homer. Brendan Magee had three hits, including a double and three RBIs, Garrett Hormel and Tyler Harris both doubled, and Asher Reynolds and Brendan Hite had two hits each. Magee pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four, while Hormel fanned six in three innings.

The Phillies were led by Ambrose Johnson's two-run triple, a double from Evan Foy and an RBI single from Angelo Segretto. The Phils also flashed some leather as Josh Hollingsworth made a shoestring catch in left and Kyle Smith made a diving catch of a line drive at first.

Cardinals 2, Rangers 2 (called at the end of four innings)

The Cardinals/Rangers game was called because of rain after the fourth inning, with the scored tied 2-2. The game will be continued at a later date.

For the Cardinals, Gregory Neiger homed in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. Later, in the third inning, Neiger doubled and scored on a passed ball and wild pitch. Also singling for the Cardinals in the second was Tanner Steen.

The bottom of the third inning had the Rangers tying the score when Robert Riemer hit a sacrifice fly to score. Kyle Raymond and Jonathan Steen doubled home Travis Lane, who had singled.

Travis was the starting pitcher for the Rangers, going 2 1/3 innings and striking out all seven of his outs before coming out with an injury. Kyle Raymond came in to relieve, going 1 2/3 innings with 4 strike-outs.

The Cardinals had Gregory Neiger on the mound, pitching all four innings and striking out six.
