Scotts Valley Athletic Association's PAL Youth Football teams faced off against EYAC from San Jose on Saturday.

By Amy Ivey

The Scotts Valley Athletic Association PAL Youth Football and Cheer program faced off against Eastside Youth Athletic Club from San Jose on Saturday, Sept. 17 at their home stadium at Scotts Valley High School. The Junior PeeWee Falcons team fell to EYAC 0-33. Due to player injuries, EYAC was not able to field a full PeeWee team.

The Falcon Junior Midgets game was a nail biter! Scotts Valley was down early in the first quarter, only to take charge of the game.  Special teams did a great job blocking and Jordan Tuck had two returns for over 100 yards. Troy Menna and Tanner Gilton had three combined rushing touchdowns, followed by a special teams touchdown by Jordan Tuck. This was a huge comeback effort by all the JM Falcons!
The game ended in a tie score of 26-26 at the end of the fourth quarter. Scotts Valley fell short in overtime, and the final score was 32-26, with EYAC taking the win.
