Cardinals 3, Giants 2

Highlights: Cardinals’ Gregory Neiger recorded 16 of the Giants’ 18 outs on strikeouts, Andrew Christensen homered twice, including in the bottom of the sixth to break a 2-2 tie, R. J. Erwin had two singles. Giants’ Mitchell Gaspar singled twice and drove in both runs, Seth O’Brien doubled, Carson Spence, Tyler Stone and Sage Kaplan singled.

Rays 6, SLV Braves 5

Highlights: Rays’ Jack Kastner tripled, singled and walked, Reilly Merlo had an RBI single and two walks, Tyler Renn a double and single, Joey Reksoatmodjo worked a two-out walk in the sixth and stole second to score on a ball hit by Jacob Utic.

Rays 11, Rangers 4

Highlights: Rays’ Joe Murray and Reilly Merlo both doubled and had two singles, with Merlo driving in four runs, Eric Beraut singled twice and walked, Jasper Stemm singled twice, and Tyler Renn singled and walked and Chris Copriviza singled. Rangers’ Travis Lane and Kyle Raymond turned two double plays in the field, Robert Reimer singled and walked twice, Daniel Shamshoian singled and doubled, Conor Santos and Eli Bjorklund singled.

Highlights: Rays’ Jacob Utic and Jack Kastner each doubled, Reilly Merlo, Eric Beraut, Joe Murray all singled. Giants’ Seth O’Brien had three singles and a walk, Mitchell Gaspar had a two-run homer and singled and walked, Dylan Townley and Owen Rockow doubled and Nathan Pisciotta had two singles.

Highlights: Giants’ starter Nathan Pisciotta fanned five and allowed one run in four innings, closer Mitchell Gaspar pitched two no-hit frames, Seth O’Brien doubled and singled twice, Owen Rockow singled twice, Carson Spence singled and scored twice, A. J. Streller singled and scored, Tyler Stone had two walks.

Cardinals 12, SLV Braves 4 (7 innings)

Highlights: Cardinals David Coats hit a grand-slam homer in the seventh for the win, Nic Alvarez had two hits, two walks and scored twice, Andrew Christensen had a single, double and triple and knocked in four runs and scored twice, Cameron McGrew had three hits and a walk. Braves’ Jack Gentry hit a two-run homer and was on base all four times, Thomas Moore had a double, two singles and a walk, Tanner Murray doubled, Cody Peterson singled.

Rays 6, Cardinals 3

Highlights: Rays’ Joe Murray singled home two runs with the bases loaded, Chris Copriviza, Jack Kastner, Reilly Merlo and Joey Reksoatmodjo all singled. Cardinals’ Cameron McGrew and Georgia Parsons singled, ace pitcher Gregory Neiger struck out 15 through 5 2/3 innings before leaving due to pitch count.

AAA Division

Diamondbacks 6, Braves 0

Highlights: D’backs pitcher Zac Yates struck out nine of 10 batters he faced and hit a ground-rule double, Soren Burns fanned five in 2 2/3 innings pitched, Max Smith had two singles and two RBIs, Matthew Wu two singles and one RBI, Shane Burns singled and knocked in a run. Braves’ Brendan Magee doubled and pitched four strong innings.

Braves 12, Cubs 8

Highlights: Braves’ Brendan Magee tripled and singled to drive in runs, Max Chambers singled twice and had three RBIs, Asher Reynolds, Tyler Harris, Brendan Hite and Garret Hormel had RBI singles and Hormel threw out two runners trying to steal in one inning; Cubs’ Henry Danner had two singles, Daniel Thomas, Ian Thomas and Josh Booth all singled.

Marlins 9, A’s 8

Highlights: Marlins David Nicholson first game back from a broken bone saw him with a double and two singled and three runs scored, Paul Hanson and Casey Collins singled twice, Connor Hilton singled, walked and drove in two runs, Chris Shaw and Kieran Ruf doubled, Joey Birlem singled home the winning run in the last of the sixth, Zach Snider, Trevor Stocker and Jack Ponza singled.

Braves 7, Marlins 5

Highlights: Braves’ Garrett Hormel singled twice, Brendan Magee and Tyler Harris both singled, catcher Brody Affolter threw out a runner trying to steal. Marlins’ Zach Snider singled and pitched into the sixth inning, fanning seven, Trevor Stocker had an RBI single, Kieran Ruf singled and threw out a runner trying to steal.

AA Division

Volcanoes 2, Bulls 1

Highlights: Volcanoes’ Brendan Hull and Dominic Papagni-Martinez doubled, Ambrosio Torres, Taylor McAdams, Chase Kelsen singled. Bulls’ Nolan Owen scored after singling and Elijah Morrison, Grant Auman and Weber Stemm singled.

Volcanoes 18, Riverdogs 2

Highlights: Volcanoes’ Patrick Sweeney doubled twice, Cody Pahl tripled, Brendan Hull and Dominic Papagni-Martinez both doubled, Ambrosio Torres, Matthew Stone, Ryan Linn, Adrie Ruf, Nathan Tickess, Nolan Fish all singled.
