Warriors Arena: Week Four, Cementing the Deal

Last week the NBA approved the move to Santa Cruz of the former Dakota Wizards. Now, the new Santa Cruz Warriors began pouring half a million dollars of concrete for the arena's foundation.

It's going to be the first tented basketball arena in the U.S. ... and it's due to open Dec. 23.

Monday, cement got poured from a truck, over a long hose, and all around what will be the foundation to what will be called the Kaiser Permanente Arena, if anyone can get their mouths around that.

Patch has been shooting the construction every week, amazed that this $5 million, 3,000-seat building be built in 12 weeks of work.

Farmers may be praying for rain, but you can bet these B-ballers want things nice and dry through December.

We live off of Scotts Valley Drive. There is a person that drives up and down Scotts Valley DriveRead More quite often. He has a dog that rides in the back of his pickup truck. The dog barks as he is riding and sounds like he is just in heaven going for those rides. We want to tip our hat to this man for being such a good dog parent. We look forward to hearing those barks of excitement for many moons to come. Right on sir! And keep on being the good parent you are.
