Area Businesses Offer Toy Drop-Off Spots

Felton Fire Department volunteers braved the weekend's weather to collect toys at the annual Christmas Toy Run.

The weekend's wet weather didn't deter Scotts Valley and San Lorenzo Valley volunteers from working hard to gather toys for needy children this holiday season.

On Saturday, volunteers from the Felton Fire Department stood out in the rain and cold holding signs, playing music and handing out hot chocolate to attract passersby. In return, they took in toy donations at the second annual Christmas Toy Run in Scotts Valley's parking lot. The toys collected will benefit From the Heart Ministries, New Life Community Services, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford and the Pajaro Rescue Mission.

If you missed Saturday's event, it's not too late to donate toys. There are a few official drop-off sites for Toys for Tots in Scotts Valley.
