Kids' extracurricular programs have informational meetings, the city council meets and there's murder mystery theater this weekend.


4H Meeting
When: 6:30 p.m. Monday
Where: Community Covenant Church, 2700 El Rancho Dr.
Why Go: Learn about the club and sign up for fall projects which include: beginning and advanced archery, beginning dairy goats, horse grooming and safety, as well as beginning guitar.

Santa Cruz Mountains Cycling Team (SCMCT) Informational Meeting
When: 6-7 p.m. Tuesday
Where: Scotts Valley Library
Why go: The successful SCMCT is starting its third year of youth competitive mountain bike racing. The team is open to all boys and girls in 7th through 12th grade regardless of ability.

Scotts Valley City Council Meeting
When: Wednesday
Where: Scotts Valley Civic Center
Why Go: Watch local government in action. This meeting should be quick. Hear Senior Board President Ferd Bergholz give an update on the Senior Center.

Masquerade Mystery Dinner Theatre
When: 6:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: Scotts Valley Community Center, 360 Kings Village Rd. 
Why Go: Scotts Valley Performing Arts is hosting a murder mystery dinner theatre to kick off  fundraising to build a performing arts center in Scotts Valley.
