This branch of the Santa Cruz public library system is the newest in the county system. The 13,000 square-foot building opened June 18, 2011 and is three times bigger than the former library. The new branch contains the latest technology and several special features, including a children’s literacy center, study rooms, a Wii gaming wall in the teen room, and a flat screen media center in the Fireside Room. The library also offers public Internet access and free wi-fi. Visitors will find a wide selection of books, periodicals, local history information, children's reading programs and digital media.
