Hats off to these two DDA's for all of the lives they are saving. I would sure like to see cell…Read More phone laws change so we can see the same results for people who still insist on talking on their cell phones and texting while driving. Cell phone violators are much more rampant than, and equally a threat to the safety of others as, DUI drivers. While in traffic on Main Street in Watsonville the other day, I saw 3 drivers in a row openly yacking on their cell phones, with no apparent shame. The young lady in front of me was looking down doing something with her hands, and failed to move when the light turned green (I wonder what she was doing?). Alcohol and cell phones seem to be equally addictive - when combined with driving they are equally dangerous and should be treated the same way.

How did someone not looking for her find her when trained teams with trained dogs couldn't. This…Read More bothers me. I hope she didn't suffer.
