Community Corner

Young Writers Program Popsicles and Ping-Pong Party!

We are looking for Writing Project Assistants, sponsors, donors, advocates and ambassadors to help grow the organization. Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate in what we hope will become one of the county’s largest programs to benefit student writers.

The Young Writers Program is an in-class writing project using volunteers to enhance student writing, build writing skills and publish good work. The Young Writers Program serves student writers in grades 4-12. Trained Writing Project Assistants provide assistance to students as they work in the classroom.

Santa Cruz Writes (SCW) is a non-profit organization that seeks to develop and support a vibrant literary community dedicated to the craft of writing and its ability to inform, reveal, and enchant. More information about Santa Cruz Writes and the Young Writers Program is available online at http://santacruzwrites.org/.
