Why Go: After splitting its four non-league games to start the 2011 football season, the Soquel High football team hosts Scotts Valley Friday night in both schools' Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League opener. The Knights fell 34-7 to Monte Vista Christian-Watsonville on Friday, while Scotts Valley also dropped its first game of the season on the road to Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton. Scotts Valley won four straight SCCAL football league titles before San Lorenzo Valley unseated them last fall. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at Soquel.
