Meet Cheryl Rebottaro
This financial adviser recently showed the Scotts Valley community the way to put on a successful fundraiser when she chaired the Rotary Club's 50s Summer Nights Bids for Kids Sock Hop.
Five-year Scotts Valley resident Cheryl Rebottaro is a financial adviser and mother of four who will be president of the Scotts Valley Rotary Club in 2012. She recently showed the community the way to put on a successful fundraiser when she chaired the Rotary's 50s Summer Nights Bids for Kids Sock Hop.

Cheryl Rebottaro: Huntington Beach, California.

Patch: Where were you educated?
Rebottaro: Orange Coast College, Cabrillo, and through the College for Financial Planning.

Patch: How long have you lived in Scotts Valley?
Rebottaro: Five years. Previously, I lived in the San Lorenzo Valley for 18 years.
Patch: What brought you to the area?
Rebottaro: I moved here when I was 20 with my best friend from Huntington Beach. We had taken a couple of road trips to Santa Cruz to visit a friend, and we fell in love with the area.
Patch: What is something you are known for?
Rebottaro: I have performed in local bands for the past 15 years. I also worked at Ciao Bella when my daughters were small for eight years. (1996-2004)
Patch: What is your latest project?
Rebottaro: I have recently accepted the position of president for the Scotts Valley Rotary 2012-13 year. I am very excited to serve this incredible club that does amazing things both in our local community and internationally.
Patch: Book you last read?
Rebottaro: Steven Tyler's memoir. Wow, that guy is funny!
Patch: Newspaper or magazine you read regularly?
Rebottaro: People Magazine—totally a guilty pleasure.
Patch: Movie you could watch again and again?
Rebottaro: Bridesmaids. I've already seen it twice.
Patch: Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Rebottaro: Hang out with my family in our backyard. Play music with my husband. We are not very good...
Patch: What is one of your most gratifying accomplishments?
Rebottaro: Raising four beautiful children
Patch: What is your greatest indulgence?
Rebottaro: Chips and salsa. I love it ever so much.
Patch: One of your most memorable vacations?
Rebottaro: Watching the sun set over the bay in Puerto Vallarta with my husband. It was so beautiful, I actually cried.
Patch: What is a goal you are chasing after?
Rebottaro: A deliriously happy family.
Patch: What do you like most about life in Scotts Valley?
Rebottaro: I love the sense of community. This is also an incredibly beautiful place to live.
