Celebrate Harry Potter's Latest Cinematic Release

Scotts Valley Cinelux to show first movie at 8:30 p.m. Thursday before premiere of newest movie at midnight.

Ten years after the franchise premiered, the cinematic debut of the last of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series will hit theaters at midnight Thursday. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will grace screens big and small, near and far.

Scotts Valley Cinelux Theater will show the final installment of the movie at 11:59 p.m. Thursday night for those eagerly awaiting. For those reminiscing about Harry's first days at Hogwarts, the theater will show the first movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, at 8:30 p.m. for only $5.

Regal Cinemas Santa Cruz 9 will also have a midnight and 3 a.m. showing in both regular and 3D formats. However, the word is that people have been in line since 8 a.m. Tuesday, so tickets may be hard to come by.
