Over A Thousand Still Without Power Sunday

Has your power come back on?

Around 1,300 customers remain without power in Santa Cruz County Sunday after as many as 30,000 lost service in windy conditions in the area last week.

As of 1:30 p.m. Sunday, PG&E crews were continuing to work to restore power after heavy winds caused outages in the Santa Cruz region, including extensively througout Scotts Valley, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

The majority of customers will have their power back sometime Sunday, Guidi said. PG&E has mobilized 90 additional work crews to help restore power in the hardest hit areas of Santa Cruz County, including Boulder Creek, Felton and Scotts Valley, Guidi said.
