Best of Winner: Scotts Valley Market

The market won 47 percent of the vote for best sandwich in town.

There are some great places in town to enjoy a good sandwich. We have our favorites, but this week you let us know which places you love.

Receiving 22 votes in the contest, the local market has a full-service deli offering breakfast, lunch and dinner items, featuring cuisines from around the world. The market also boasts the "largest salad bar in Santa Cruz County." The specialty here is clearly the gourmet sandwiches though. In addition to the “create your own” sandwich menu, the market also offers specialty sandwiches, such as the French Riviera Dip or the Steamer Lane Louie. The market also barbecues its own meats and offers burgers and chicken and portabella mushroom sandwiches grilled to order. Paninis and wraps round out the sandwich offerings.
