You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Scotts Valley Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

This down-home cafe is full of friendly locals and an even friendlier staff. It is only open for breakfast and lunch, and there are many great options on the menu that will bring you comfort and a smile. Try the eggs Benedict, homemade pancakes, steaks, chicken-fried steaks, omelets, soups, breakfast plates and sandwiches.

We live off of Scotts Valley Drive. There is a person that drives up and down Scotts Valley DriveRead More quite often. He has a dog that rides in the back of his pickup truck. The dog barks as he is riding and sounds like he is just in heaven going for those rides. We want to tip our hat to this man for being such a good dog parent. We look forward to hearing those barks of excitement for many moons to come. Right on sir! And keep on being the good parent you are.
