Guide to Local New Year's Eve Celebrations

It’s almost time to say goodbye to 2011 and ring in the New Year. But before looking ahead to 2012, why not end the year with one last hurrah? There are plenty of options locally, so break out the champagne and the noisemakers and get ready for one last celebration in 2011.

Malone’s Grille

Get started early with Malone’s New Year’s Eve Eve Celebration on Dec. 30 at 9 p.m. with:

• Live music by Samson, playing hits from the 60s and 70s
• Champagne toast
• Balloons and party favors
• No cover charge

Malone’s is also the place to be on New Year’s Eve. In addition to the regular dinner menu, specials will be offered on prime rib, Steak au Poivre, Filet Oscar and rack of lamb. The party will begin at 9 p.m. with:

This Cambodian restaurant and bar is quickly becoming a hot spot in Scotts Valley and New Year’s Eve will be no exception. The dining room will be open until 10 p.m. and will be serving the regular menu. The festivities will begin in the bar at 9 p.m. with:
