Tuesday Brings More Scorching Heat

Weather will cool down a bit by Wednesday.

It really is Indian Summer in Santa Cruz County, with the temperatures surpassing 100 degrees for the second day in a row in Scotts Valley.

On Monday, temperatures reached 104 degrees, and at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, temperatures were at 101, according to The Weather Channel.

According to Intellicast.com, the average high for this time of year is 73 degrees, with the highest temperature on record for Oct. 2 being 102 degrees in 1980.

By Wednesday though, things will cool down a bit and the temperature will be around 80 degrees, according to the Weather Channel.
