Wendy's Closes Its Doors

After nearly 20 years, the owner of the fast-food chain sells the property and retires.

There is one less place to get a burger on the go in Scotts Valley now that Wendy’s closed its doors on Friday, Aug. 24.

The fast-food chain on Scotts Valley Drive had been a part of the town for nearly 20 years.

According to the Scotts Valley Press Banner, owner Veve Norton decided to close after she was approached with an offer to purchase the property, and instead of renewing another 20-year franchise contract with Wendy’s, she decided to sell and retire.
