James Mullen: Services were held in Scotts Valley. He was the director of a 24-hour telephone crisis center in college, worked in graphic design and loved martial arts. Passed away Jan. 8. He was 61. 

Howard Norton: Resident of Scotts Valley. He was a talented high school basketball player and served in the Korean War. Passed away Jan. 11. He was 80.

Larry O'Bannon: Worked on cabinets in Scotts Valley for the last 15 years. He loved to play music and tennis. Passed away Jan. 5. He was 56. 

Harold H. Reichert: Resident of Scotts Valley. He liked to build boats and he served in the Navy. Passed away Jan. 9. He was 90. 

Francine Scott: Resident of Scotts Valley. She worked in banks her entire adult life, while her husband was the fire chief of Scotts Valley. Passed away Jan. 2. She was 75. 

Marilyn Straw: Resident of Scotts Valley. She worked a variet of places including Yosemite and Granite Construction. She like jogging and was the president of her HOA. Passed away Jan. 1. She was 63.
