911 Calls Help Get Drunk Driver Off the Road

Several drivers call CHP to report a DUI driver on Graham Hill Road.

With the help of several very aware drivers, a DUI driver was taken off of the street on Monday night.

At approximately 11 p.m., California Highway Patrol dispatch began receiving several calls reporting a suspected drunk driver in a Nissan on Graham Hill Road. Officers responded and stopped the vehicle at Scotts Valley Drive and Victory Square.

Michelle Marie Whiting, 53, was arrested for felony DUI due to a number of prior DUI convictions. She was also driving without insurance.

The CHP would like to remind motorists to call 911 to report reckless or impaired drivers that are spotted out on the roadways.
