The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a man who accosted a 25-year-old female jogger on a trail in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton on Wednesday afternoon.

The woman was jogging on the Seascape Trail in the Fall Creek Unit area of the park at approximately 4:30 p.m. when a man popped out behind her onto the trial, according to the sheriff’s office. The man attempted to engage the jogger in conversation but she continued running. The man then began to run toward her. The man is described as a white male in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and brown hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black long sleeve shirt and light colored pants. The sheriff’s office is working with the victim to get a sketch of the suspect.
