‘In My Life’ Gallery Exhibition

Where/When: Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, 9341 Mill St., Ben Lomond. Now through June 23. Wednesdays-Sundays, noon-6 p.m.

What: Over 30 local artists will be showcased in the Art Center’s newest exhibit featuring a diverse array of work depicting “In My Life,” a celebration of life.

SVPD Bike Rodeo

Where/When: MacDorsa Park, One Civic Center Drive. Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

What: The Scotts Valley Police Department will be hosting this annual event for kids in kindergarten through fifth-grade. The event will include a bicycle rodeo skills course set up by Bike Smart, free bicycle licensing, free bicycle and helmet inspections by Scotts Valley Cycle Sports, and a free barbecue for registered participants.

Price: Free

Vintner’s Festival

Where/When: Various wineries and restaurants throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains. Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

What: Wines from 46 wineries will be featured at 38 locations for the Santa Cruz Mountains Wine Grower’s Association’s Vintners’ Festival 2012, “A Taste of the Mountains.” The Vintners' Festival offers participants self-guided tours of the wineries, in which they may take part in barrel tasting, meet winemakers and enjoy music, art, and good food. Visitors are also invited to wander through many of the winery gardens, and to bring picnics to enjoy in picturesque surroundings. Price: Tickets are redeemed for a commemorative wine glass to be used at each winery visited. Admission is $40 in advance, or $45 at the door.

Henry Cowell Junior Rangers

Where/When: Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, Graham Hill Road, Felton. Saturday and Sunday, 4-5 p.m.

What: Kids aged 7-12 will have the chance to discover the fascinating secrets of the forest as they explore, practice outdoor skills and play games, while learning about plants, animals, geology, and more. To join in this one-hour program, kids should meet at the Campfire Center at the campground entrance to the park off of Graham Hill Road.
