DUIs and petty theft top police calls for the week.

On Nov. 28 at 2:15 a.m. on Lockhart Gulch Road—a man was contacted by officers staggering in the roadway. A records check revealed that he had a warrant. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

On Nov. 25 at 8:02 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—a driver was stopped by officers and displayed signs of intoxication. The person admitted to consuming alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. The driver was arrested for DUI.

On Nov. 25 at 10:20 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. A records check of the driver revealed that he had a warrant. He was arrested, cited and released at the scene.

On Nov. 24 at 7:09 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—a youth was witnessed while leaving a store with a case of beer. He was arrested for petty theft and released into the custody of his mother.

On Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. on Civic Center Drive—a man was contacted and arrested in the police department lobby. He had a warrant and was cited and released with a court date.

On Nov. 23 at 10:26 p.m. at the intersection of Scotts Valley Drive and Tabor Drive—an officer contacted an intoxicated man and took him into custody. He was transported to county jail where he was booked for public intoxication.

On Nov. 23 at 6:39 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—a youth removed headphones from a package and walked out of a store with them without paying. He was arrested and released to his father.

On Nov. 23 at 3:27 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—officers stopped a vehicle for speeding, and the driver verbally indentified himself with a false name and date of birth. The driver was evaluated and arrested for DUI.

On Nov. 22 at 3:21 a.m. on Whispering Pines Drive—an unknown person took house keys from the glove compartment of a vehicle.

On Nov. 21 at 10:23 p.m. at the intersection of Scotts Valley Drive and Terrace View Court—an officer found a marijuana pipe on a youth. He was cited for being in possession of paraphernalia. The pipe was booked into evidence.

On Nov. 21 at 1:42 a.m. on La Cuesta Drive—an officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver displayed signs of intoxication. He was arrested for DUI and booked into county jail.

On Nov. 20 at 11:47 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Drive—an officer conducted a traffic stop and found the driver had a warrant and a suspended license and was in possession of marijuana. The driver was issued citations and released at the scene.

On Nov. 20 at 1:18 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—two people were caught shoplifting several items from Kmart and were detained by store personnel. One person was found to have two warrants and was booked into county jail. The other was issued a citation and released at the scene.
