Police Blotter: Petty Theft, Battery, Vandalism

The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On March 26 at 3:16 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—A woman took a cosmetic item from the sales floor of a store and concealed it underneath another item in her shopping cart. After she returned several items, she exited the store without paying for the item. She was cited and released.

On March 27 at 5:18 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road—A person took several cosmetic items from a store without paying for them. The store’s loss prevention officer made a citizen’s arrest and wished to file charges against the person. The person was cited and released at the scene.

On March 28 at 5:35 p.m. on Scotts Valley Drive at Highway 17—A driver reported that the driver of another vehicle got out of his vehicle and scratched the arm of the first driver while trying to reach into his vehicle to hit him after an exchange of hand gestures and inappropriate driving on Highway 17.

On March 28 at 9:26 p.m. on Highway 17 and Mt. Hermon Road—A vehicle was stopped by officers for stopping in a no parking zone and having a suspended registration. The driver, who also had a suspended license, was arrested and the vehicle was released to the licensed passenger.

Between March 30 at 7 p.m. and March 31 at 8:12 a.m. on Scotts Valley Drive and Zinfandel Court—An unknown person removed pieces of a sign at the entrance to the Vineyards

On April 1 between 8:15 and 9:47 p.m. on Lundy Lane—A boy had his scooter stolen while playing at Hocus Pocus Park.
