Police Blotter: Petty Theft, DUI, Vandalism
The following arrest information was supplied by the Scotts Valley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
On Feb. 14 at 2:14 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A vehicle reported to the Los Gatos Police Department as stolen was recovered after it was abandoned.
Between Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. and Feb. 14 at 12:10 p.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–An unknown person took a plastic accordion-style envelope, which contained checks, cash and Metro bus passes, from a business. There were no signs of forced entry into the building.
Between Feb. 9 at noon and Feb. 14 at 1:15 p.m. on Skypark Drive–An unknown person made a fraudulent charge on another person’s credit card account in the amount of $174.99 to a Target store in New Jersey.

On Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. on Whispering Pines Drive–A bicycle was stolen from a carport.
On Feb. 16 at 8:15 a.m. on Glenwood Drive–An unsecured bicycle was stolen from the bicycle rack area at Scotts Valley High School.

On Feb. 17 at 5:39 p.m. on Highway 17 and Mt. Hermon Road–A vehicle displayed 2012 registration tags but a records check showed the tags expired in 2010. The vehicle was stopped for fraudulent registration. Officers found that the driver also had a suspended license. He was cited and the vehicle was towed.
On Feb. 18 at 1:24 a.m. on Mt. Hermon Road–A vehicle was stopped for various traffic infractions. The female driver showed signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. She was arrested and booked at county jail.
On Feb. 18 at 9 p.m. on Pinecone Drive–An unknown person removed a purse from a vehicle parked at a residence. The purse was discarded at the scene. Three credit/debit cards and cash were taken.
On Feb. 19 at 2:28 p.m. on Grace Way–An unknown person wrote, “Seek your bliss,” with a green marker in two different locations. Officers abated the graffiti.
