Police Will Be on the Lookout for Traffic Law Offenders Tuesday

SVPD is participating in the annual countywide BADGES program to ticket aggressive drivers.

If you get into a car on Tuesday, make extra sure to follow all the traffic laws. Scotts Valley police will be joining forces with officers from around the county in an enforcement detail aimed at reducing aggressive driving.

BADGES–before aggressive drivers get every one stopped–is a countywide program that has been successful in reducing traffic collisions and providing safer streets around the county. The SVPD will be hosting BADGES throughout February.

On Tuesday, officers will be out on local streets that have generated citizen complaints in the past, as well as the main roadways in Scotts Valley. Officers will be strictly enforcing seatbelt and traffic laws, and vehicles driven by unlicensed or suspended drivers will be towed.
