Scotts Valley Masseuse Arrested for Sexual Assault of Clients

Richard Alexander Fletcher of Capitola, a masseuse working out of Scotts Valley, is accused of sexually assaulting four women.

Scotts Valley police arrested a Capitola man working as a masseuse on Mount Hermon Road on Monday afternoon.

Richard Alexander Fletcher, 35, was accused of sexually assaulting a female client while she was receiving massage from him on Sunday, March 24. 

After the initial claim against Fletcher, a police investigation turned up three more female clients all telling similar stories of sexual assault during Fletcher's massages, police said.

Fletcher works as an independent contractor at the Mount Hermon Road business and is not an employee, police said.

He was charged with four felony counts of sexual penetration with a foreign object and four felony counts of sexual battery.

According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, Fletcher's bail has been set at $50,000.
