A traffic violation led to the arrest of two subjects on drug-related charges Wednesday on Mt. Hermon Road.
Scotts Valley Police stopped Shawna Lynn Codman, 23, when they noticed she had a plastic cover over her license plate — a violation — and then changed lanes without signaling.
Codman was already on probation so officers conducted a search of her car and found drugs. She was arrested on two felony counts for possession of a controlled substance, as well as driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and violation of probation.
Her passenger, 37-year-old Forrest Coe of Los Gatos, was also arrested on a warrant related to drug charges.
