Teenager Arrested For Crack Possession Following Kmart Shoplifting Incident

Brittany Winn, 19, is charged with possession of crack cocaine for sale.

An Oakland teenager was arrested on suspicion of drug possession Saturday afternoon after Scotts Valley police responded to a shoplifting incident.

Police were dispatched to Kmart at 270 Mt. Hermon Rd. after a boy was arrested for shoplifting. He was taken to the police department, where his aunt picked him up, police said.

After a check on the boy's aunt, Latrice Thomas, 29, of Oakland, police found she was on active parole for drug offenses and had an outstanding warrant for traffic offenses in Kern County.
