Santa Cruz Real Estate: Fast Sales for Higher Prices

Scotts Valley home prices topped 2008 levels this spring and are 20 percent higher than this time a year ago.





Check out the latest data released by MLSListings Inc. on Santa Cruz County real estate, which shows that compared to five years ago, homes are selling faster and at a higher price.

Median home prices in Scotts Valley for the three month period of April to June rose more than 20 percent from 2012 to this year, and also were more than 5 percent higher than five years ago, according to the MLS Listings. Across the county, home prices rose an average of 21.1 percent this year when compared to a year ago, though they are slightly down from 2008.

June's median home price in Scotts Valley was $768,000, more than a 18 percent rise from a year ago, when it was $627,500. The median home price for the entire county last month was $586,000.
