SLV wins battle of Little League Giants.

Majors Division

SLV Giants 10, SV Giants 8

For the Scotts Valley Giants, Mitchell Gaspar knocked a two-run homer, doubled and singled en route to driving in three runs on the day. Seth O’Brien doubled and singled, scoring three times, Nathan Pisciotta doubled and drove in three runs, Cooper Rains doubled and Anthony Locatelli coaxed three walks.

Rangers 5, Rays 4

The Rangers scored first on a three-run homer by Jonathan Steen, tallying Kyle Raymond and Robert Riemer, who walked and singled. They made it 5-0 when Brett McEwan and Nathan Meyers singled and subsequently scored. The Rays came back on a Reilly Merlo double and a sacrifice fly by Jasper Stemm, and on a two-run single by Tyler Renn that scored Eric Beraut and Jacob Utic. In the sixth, Chris Copriviza led off with an 11-pitch walk and Joe Murray doubled, but a diving catch by Raymond saved a run, and after Copriviza scored on a wild pitch, Rangers’ closer Travis Lane struck out the last two batters to end the game.

Cardinals 13, Giants 5

The Redbirds were led by Cameron McGrew, who had three hits, and Nic Alvarez, who had two and scored three times. Georgia Parsons and Tanner Steen both doubled, Tyler Bustichi singled, and Gregory Neiger knocked in two runs with two sacrifice flies. For the Giants, Seth O'Brien and Carson Spence walked three times each, Anthony Locatelli singled twice and A.J. Streller and Tyler Stone both singled.
